Welcome to my library of Silhouette Cut Files, available exclusively to unOriginal Mom email subscribers! Browse around and download your favorite cut files for free, but be sure to check back occasionally as I’m always adding more freebies!
Before you get downloading and creating, though, you need to know that all of these cut files are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. That means that you can make things for yourself or make gifts for family or friends…but you can’t use these files (or modifications of these files) to create items to sell. You also can’t share these files or your password to this page with anyone else, but I’d be happy for you to direct folks to my blog and email list so they can gain access to this library for themselves!
TROUBLESHOOTING
Not sure which file format to download? If you use a Silhouette Machine, that means you use the Silhouette Studio design program. You should download the .Studio files. (If you have upgraded to the Designer or Business Edition, you’ll also be able to open SVG files.) If you use a Cricut or any other type of cutting machine, you should download the SVG files. (Most of my library includes SVGs for use with Cricut and other cutting machines, but a few of my files are only available as .studio files which means they’ll only work with Silhouette Studio software and Silhouette machines. Sorry, I don’t have them in any other format.)
Download error message? The file sharing site I use is box.com – when you click on the file link for any of the .studio files, it will give you what looks like an error message that says “we’re sorry, this file type is not currently supported.” That’s okay, it will still download them correctly! (All it means is that the website can’t provide an image preview of the design.) Just click “download” and then look for the file in your computer’s “downloads” folder.
Can’t open your file? Sometimes, computers can get confused about what program to use to open .studio or SVG files. The best solution is to go ahead and open your design program (Silhouette Studio for Silhouettes or Design Space for Cricuts), and then go to “File…” “Open…” and browse for the file you just downloaded into your downloads folder.
Don’t have a cutting machine? If you’ve stumbled across this page and you don’t have a Silhouette, Cricut, or other cutting machine, I’m sorry – none of these files will work for you! These are not “printable” files…they’re meant to be used with a digital craft cutting machine and can only be opened and appropriately used with the software that comes with those machines. If you’re thinking about purchasing a Silhouette, here’s a good place to start!
