Happy first-day-of-summer, friends!! I thought this cute and easy project was a fitting post to share today…an Aloha Summer hand lettered cut file that I whipped up to make some cheerful summer decor.
I started with this blank pineapple I found in the Target dollar spot. Of course, it was begging for some vinyl! I had picked up a wooden bunny similar to this pineapple around Easter and used my iPad + Apple Pencil + the Procreate app to draw a cut file for it (you can see more details on how I did that in this post)
After I imported my design into Silhouette Studio and traced it, I cut it out of a few different colors of vinyl scraps from Expressions Vinyl I had on hand. (Speaking of Expressions Vinyl, they have a fun “Summer Breeze” adhesive vinyl pack right now, but it’s a limited edition…so hurry and grab it for your summer crafting before it’s gone! I love the themed packs they put together – it makes it super easy to coordinate colors and prints on a project without having to think about it.)
Once I had my design laid out the way I wanted it, I used transfer tape to transfer my design to the wood surface.
Ta-da! Super easy and super cute…perfect for some cheerful summer decor.
