    • Do you mean could I take the felt off the sweatshirt? No the hot glue is very permanent on fabric so there’s no way to take it off after it’s glued on.

    • Sorry, I don’t…I just cut the pieces out of brown paper grocery bags first to test the size and shape and then cut it out of the felt.

  1. I’m having a hard time with the pieces on the hood. Any tips? Did you cut each section out separately and glue it on or did you just create one large piece?

    • The teal felt was all one piece, but in two identical layers…I glued them together at the top and then at the bottom I sort of “sandwiched” the top of the hoodie between the two pieces. Then I cut the dark blue pieces and hot glued them on either side of the teal fin. Hope that makes sense!

  2. What size is the flounder costume? If you are interested in selling it, please contact me. I am having the hardest time finding one. I’m looking for anything 18mos-2t.

    • Sorry Leila, I gave it away to a friend a few years ago. If you can find a yellow hoodie, it’s really easy to make one yourself!

  3. hi! the yellow hoodie u have linked for h&m looks like a mustard yellow but the one your son is wearing looks like the primary color yellow. Is it just the website not showing the true color? tia

    • Hi Sonia, I don’t know for sure…I purchased this one several years ago (this costume is from 2016) so it’s very possible they’ve changed the color slightly since then. The Primary.com does look like a truer yellow so that might be a safer bet.

  4. Thank you so much for this! I used this as inspiration and did the same and I am 100% not crafty. If you don’t have a glue gun (or you can’t find yours as was my case) stitch Witchery works just as well. I used the primary.com hoodie in sunshine

I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
