  1. It’s gorgeous congrats!!!! I can’t wait to see it all decorated for Christmas. I’m expecting some “unoriginal” Christmas ideas on here. ;)

  2. Wow, Meredith! Congrats! The house looks lovely…and I’m so excited to see new pics once you have your stuff inside. (I especially love the tree house potential.) Wow, I’m sure Thanksgiving week will be hectic – – hopefully you can keep the meal itself low-key this year – – but I’m thrilled for you guys. Way to go.

Any tips on house-hunting? Mark and I are in the process ourselves and we have such a specific thing we’re looking for (on a lake, within a 15 minute drive of Mark’s hospital, good schools, 4 bedroom), we’re thinking it may not exist…and we may need to compromise on a few things. It’s just so hard to know on what! Anyway, no pressure, but if you did write a post on house-hunting, I definitely eat that up for dinner!

  3. Congratulations on closing on your new house! It sounds absolutely wonderful with all the space and potential for making it your own. The walkout basement and wooded area behind the house sound like a dream. I’d love a tour sometime! It’s great that you have a plan for each area already. Enjoy the excitement of moving in soon!

  4. Congratulations on closing on your new house! It sounds amazing. The quiet cul-de-sac and lovely yards are great for a family. The updated kitchen with all those appliances is a dream. Can’t wait to see more after you move in and settle into that fantastic basement!

  5. Fantastic post! I’m delighted to say that your content is truly captivating. I can’t resist sharing my thoughts on it. Looking forward to reading more blogs from you.

  6. Buying a house can feel like stepping into a brand-new chapter of life—filled with excitement, a touch of nervousness, and endless possibilities. From decorating rooms to making it truly yours, the journey often carries both joy and responsibility. Just like how The London Tenant might face new adjustments when moving into a rental property, homeowners also navigate challenges like repairs, paperwork, and unexpected costs, but all of these can turn into opportunities for growth and comfort.

In the end, owning a house may bring stability, but it also invites creativity and fresh beginnings. The London Tenant shows how shifting spaces often reshapes experiences and perspectives.

  8. Here’s an English comment you can post:

Congratulations!! What an exciting milestone after such a long time under contract. Your new home looks gorgeous—and the quiet cul-de-sac, the private backyard, and that walkout basement sound like a dream for family life. I’m especially jealous of the big updated kitchen (and now I’m curious about that Advantium microwave too!). Moving in around Thanksgiving will be a whirlwind, but I bet it’ll make decorating for Christmas even more special. Can’t wait to see how you make it your own!

  9. When someone has bought a house, it may open new opportunities for long-term financial planning and stability, depending on future goals and market conditions, and it could also influence decisions related to a rental property in the coming time. The ownership might bring a sense of security, while also allowing flexibility to explore different income options through renting or holding the asset. It may further create chances to build equity and strengthen financial growth over time. A rental property in such a situation could become a potential source of passive income if market demand supports it. Overall, this step might lead to multiple possibilities in real estate decisions and long-term investment direction.

stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children, wife to an incredible husband, and daughter of a loving God. I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
