Well friends, over the next couple of weeks I’m taking a bit of a “maternity leave” from the blog as we get settled as a family of 4! (I’ll post an update on Facebook once baby has actually arrived!) In the meantime, I’ve got a few original posts pre-written and scheduled out for you as well as some terrific guest posts lined up from some of my favorite bloggy buddies.

Today I’m sharing my 4 year old’s Valentine for her Preschool class. Last year we opted for a candy free option and made these cute Glow Stick Valentines. This year we are using goldfish crackers and going with a fish theme.
While we were creating these, my Little Lady loves to help, I was reminded of the last Preschool Valentine’s Day party. I was 9 months pregnant and just after picking her up from the party I started to have contractions. I ignored them until after dinner and by that time our now almost 1-year-old was well on her way. I do not expect anything as exciting as that this year, but we’re still having fun creating special Valentines for Little Lady’s class.
I’ve seen versions of these on Pinterest but wanted to put my own (easy) spin on them.
Here is what I used:
- I created an image and printed it on a regular 8.5″ x 11 paper. (you can download this image at the end of the post)
- Snack size zip bags
- Goldfish crackers
I printed the file and folded it in half. Then I trimmed around the colored part. This gives the Valentine a front and back.
My daughter added her name to the bottom of each one. I filled a snack size bag with goldfish crackers then stapled the folded Valentine to the top.
So easy to create and that’s exactly what I was going for.
