5 Responses to 90s Colonial Exterior Renovation – AFTER!

  1. Beautiful exterior renovation, Meredith. Would love to know the color of the siding and garage door. I have a 1951 brick ranch with similar to your color of brick and roof. This is the year to update my exterior. I bought the house three years ago and the color scheme was all white trim with the red brick. Boring! I like the colors of nature, so woodland greens and dark browns/grays, adding color with flowers and flowering scrubs. So I love the color of your siding and especially the garage door. Also like the standing seam metal roofing, but that will have to wait until I can rebuild my savings account! :-)
If you would provide the colors of your siding/garage door and shutters it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

    • Thanks so much, Sharma! The siding is actually original vinyl siding from our builder grade 1995 house…it’s not painted, so I don’t have a specific color name to be able to share. The shutters and garage door are also vinyl, not painted – they’re just the colors we selected from the manufacturer. Unfortunately I don’t have the information for those, either, sorry! If it helps, we were looking for colors in the beige/brown family rather than the blue-gray or green-gray family, so that it would all work with the red/browns of the brick. In fact, our color consultant looked for one of the darkest bricks on our exterior and held up paint swatches to find something that was a close match to it, and then used that as her basis for selecting the shutters, roof, and garage door. Hope that’s helpful for you!

    • Hi there! I just haven’t gotten around to that yet (bad blogger, I know!), but there is a video tour saved in my story highlights on my Instagram account!

stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children, wife to an incredible husband, and daughter of a loving God. I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
