7 Responses to Use a Dish Wand to Clean Your Shower

  1. Another caveat: Don’t buy your scrub brush at the dollar store – pure crap! I lost two sponges before I ever even got to use my wand. They seriously fell off during the first use! Once I get a new scrubber it will be so nice – I have used the broken sponge and love having a quick clean while I’m in the shower.

    • Good to know! Dollar Store is definitely hit or miss…some really great deals, and some really bad products!

  2. I’ve been cleaning my shower while I’m in it for years, lol. My husband thinks I’m so weird, but after my first was born there was just no other time I could get it done. People think that you need all these harsh sprays to clean things, but regular soap and water is just as good (and sometimes better) than any of it, and when you add vinegar, it helps keep the mold from coming back so quickly.

Thanks for this pin!! I hadn’t thought of using a scrubbing brush with the soap dispenser inside. My shower cleaning routine just got even easier! :)

    • Yeah I am just starting to figure out how great vinegar can be! I used to think it was only for real anti-chemical totally-green hippie-types, which I’m definitely not, but it is so much cheaper and just as good as the other cleaners! Took me a while to finally try out this pin, but I am definitely never going back to regular shower cleaner…cleaning it while I’m in it is so much less of a chore!

  3. I did the heated vinegar with dish soap method and it worked great but the smell was so strong I was retching thru the whole thing, so I haven’t done it again. I bet, room temp vinegar doesn’t smell as strong and having it in the handle works great! I’m excited to try this and thank full for the anti-dollar store tip as I was just planing a trip to pick one of these up! ha!

    • It really didn’t smell very vinegar-y at all! Especially after you start cleaning in the shower, it looks/smells mostly like dish soap.
