Valentine's Day Cookie Bouquet - Royal Icing
Serves: icing for 2 dozen cookies
  • 1 pound (4 cups) powdered sugar
  • ⅓ c warm water (plus extra water for making icing consistencies)
  • ¼ c Meringue Powder
  • 1 t vanilla
  1. Add meringue powder to warm water in your mixer
  2. Mix for 1 minute on medium until foamy
  3. Add vanilla and mix
  4. Add powdered sugar a little bit at a time while mixing on low
  5. Increase speed to medium and mix for 4-7 minutes until icing is stiff and increases in size. Check for a stiff peak
  6. Mix to desired color and consistency
