101 Responses to Christmas Photo Booth Props with Free Cut File

  1. What a cute and unique way to capture Christmas memories using these photo props! I’ll be making these for sure. We go to my daughter’s house on Christmas morning to watch my grandson open his loot from Santa. It will be fun to take pictures of everyone else with these props! Thanks for the cut files!

    • Oh that sounds like so much fun! Definitely post a pic or two on the FB group so we can all see :-) I’m sure it will be super cute!

    • This is the first time I’ve had real success with chipboard, and I think it was because I used an old mat that wasn’t very sticky…the other times I’ve left behind chunks of chipboard on the mat, so I’ve been a little scared to try it again. But this was so easy! Definitely give it a try :-)

  2. These are too cute Meredith!! I’m so tempted to make these up for my friends kids. They would have so much fun playing with them! Not to mention the cute photo opportunities.

  3. How fun! I can see this being a big hit with kiddos and adults alike! Making the props had to be a blast! Since I have troubles wrapping my pea brain around how to doa lot of these crafts with my Silhouette, the tutorial and cut files are a blessing! Fabulous project by a fabulous lady!

    • Ooo I definitely want to see pics of that – more the adults than the kids, haha. (And mimosas for Christmas morning = genius! I think I will be joining you in that!)

  4. Too cute! I did this once before for an Easter party but never thought about it for Christmas. I think I may still have time to create this for our stockings…that would be a hoot! Thanks for sharing your inspiration and Merry Christmas to you and your family! :-)

    • Yes that sounds like a lot of fun – so many possibilities in big family group shots! Let me know if you make them, would love to see the resulting photos :-)

  5. I love these! If I had a Christmas party, I would so be making these. I’m thinking next year for the Christmas card though :) Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Yes my 16 month old is a little young for these too…though I was thinking of making some for her to play with out of foam sheets for some cute pictures, that’s much more indestructible in little hands than card stock!

  6. Thank you SO much for sharing this! I can’t wait until the craft store opens tomorrow so I can purchase Chipboard and get started on these. I had looked everywhere for something like this and you were the answers to what I needed! Filling out the member group request now. I really like the way this blog is written!

  7. I’ve been excited about this post ever since you hinted that you might be making them. And they turned out FABULOUSLY, Meredith! Can’t wait to hear how go over with the guests at your party (maybe it has happened already?). I can practically SEE the “naughty” and “nice” photos now!

Oh, and you already know I’ll be featuring you in my Reader Showcase in a few weeks. Watch out now!

Thanks for all your help behind the scenes to make our Group Post & Giveaway such a success this month!

    • Hehe, I’m excited to see them “at work,” too (the party is a week from Saturday) and may be posting a few of the resulting pics to facebook or even updating this post with them ;-)

So excited for your Reader Showcase…I’m sure there are lots of great posts out there inspired by your fabulous projects and awesome tutorials!

  8. Such a smile maker! I cut out a couple of Santas and Frosties, put them on wooden cooking skewers, and took them to lunch. Big hit. Took iPhone pictures. Couple across the restaurant asked if I’d take a pic of them in the Santas. Of course I did and emailed it to them that very minute. Then we took the props to a friend in rehab and made his day. I mean REALLY made his day! Thanks for a darling idea and design! Merry Christmas!!!

    • Oh, this makes me SO happy! Thanks so much for sharing, I’m so glad they brought fun and smiles! Merry Christmas to you too!

  9. Wow – thank you so much – my family and I have never done anything like this before and it will add a whole new concept to our Christmas….Thank you so much

  10. Hi Meredith! I just converted these to .mtc (make the cut) and .pdf for my own use, and can send them to you if you’d like them!

LOVE the design. Such a great collection!!

  11. Hi there!

I would love to download the cut out file for my Christmas work party but it won’t work, is there any way you could send it to me? and of course I would definitely follow you on all of those sites! :) :)

    • Hi Kelly, are you using the file with a Silhouette Portrait or Cameo? Otherwise it won’t work. If it’s just a problem with the download I can definitely email it to you.

  12. I’m new to using my Silhouette machine, I’m confused on how you cut the white pieces to the santa hats and the blue piece to the snowman hat? I don’t seem to see them. Thank you!!

  13. Meredith! Not only was this post so awesome it inspired me to do a similar thing of my own with my husbands Marines BUT it also inspired me to tell my mom to do the same with my siblings (as if santa set up the photo booth). Thanks for this awesome post and the great ideas and cut files. We shared it in our Mega Christmas Guide post here: http://www.diyjustcuz.com/the-mega-christmas-guide/ if you’d like to check it out! It’s under “Take Pictures with your Family!” <3 You rock and your blog is one of our favs.

  14. I’m trying to download but the file won’t open. Do I need an specific program?
I would love to use this for my son school holiday party.
    Thank you!
