  1. Love this!! Especially the braided flowers – so easy and so cute! You are totally inspiring me on this snowy day :)

    • Thanks Kristina! The door was that color when we moved in, and it needs a touch-up, but I’m afraid to try to re-paint it because I love the shade that it is now and don’t want to mess it up!

  3. Talk about inspiration. You have totally kicked me into gear to make a beautiful yarn spring wreath. Now to find the time to make one. Thanks so much for sharing! I love #3 the best and yours is lovely too!

    • Glad to hear it Leslie! It took me about a week of working a little bit every day to get this one done, but if I had really wanted to (and not been limited to only working during naptimes!) I probably could have finished it in about 2 hours.

    • Oh man, at least in PA we’re used to winter hanging around longer than it should, but you’d think Kentucky would be safe from snow at this point!

    • Thanks Megan! I couldn’t believe it when I found those flowers on clearance at Michael’s in the perfect colors, it was meant to be :-)

  4. These are some beautiful wreaths. I have never created a wreath myself, but I think I may even be able to pull this off :) I know our readers would love this, too. We have a weekly link up party going on now (Thursdays), and we would love to see this post and/or any others you would like to share at allthingswithpurpose.com. Hope to see you soon!

  8. This is so very lovely! You should come join us at the Inspire Us Thursdays: Sew Needle Stitch Hook link party on The Inspired Wren.

    • Thanks, Amy! I love making those rag braid flowers, they look great and are pretty much impossible to mess up, haha. Glad you like it!

  9. I was forced to use a straw wreath (I live in a rural area) for my daughters’ Valentines day wreath; I was going to use grey yarn so I wrapped the wreath with grey duct tape, then the yarn. It turned out beautiful. I’m planning to make one using white yarn for spring so I bought white duct tape. Straw wreaths are way cheaper than styrofoam anyway. If you don’t like the straw, you can also cut a pool noodle from the dollar store. Cut it to preferred size, then tape the ends together securely. Voila. Also great for large wreaths.

stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children, wife to an incredible husband, and daughter of a loving God. I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
