  1. Could those umbrellas be any cuter? Especially all lined up together in that basket! I’m sure your friend was so touched by the love you poured into the invites and favors and decor! And I swoon over every printable and invitation you design. Remind me when that etsy shop is opening again? {Smile.}

    • Aw, thanks so much, Judy! I definitely feel like I am more “original” and creative than when I first started this blog a year ago, that’s for sure…but I will very frequently take ideas that I see other places and put my own spin on them, so many of my ideas aren’t purely original, hence un-Original Mom! These umbrellas were certainly not original, though, since I completely copied the idea from Oriental Trading! But I’m glad you like them! :-)

    • So fun! The colored watering cans were from the Target dollar spot last year. I bet they’ll have something similar again soon!

  2. These are really cute! Oriental Trading no longer carries the favor cones so do you have another source recommendation? Thanks!

    • Oh, bummer! Thanks for letting me know, I’ll edit my post to reflect that. I’d think it’d be pretty easy to make cones like this just using card stock or heavy duty scrapbook paper, cutting them out into a shape like the Oriental Trading cones that are pictured and then using hot glue to make it into a cone.

  3. Hi Meredith,
    Thank you for sharing this favor idea. I see the post on how you made the invites but not the favor sign. I’m not tech savvy. My sisters sprinkle shower is this weekend. Any advice would help!
    Thanks :)

  4. Great ideas! I’m making this for a shower this weekend. Could you share the file for the sign you placed next to the favors?

  5. Thanks for the idea & tutorial! They turned out super cute! Could you email me the file for the sign? Or post it? Thanks!

  6. Hey love these!!
    Did u have any problem with the candy stick moving around? I wanted to make these but wanted to make sure its something i can do before i buy the supplies..

    • Hi Zee! If you center the tulle and tie it tightly, the candy stick stays in place pretty well. It can be a bit tricky to hold it while you’re tying them, so I found propping the cone up in the bowl of candy helped with that!

  7. It is March 2016 and I’m making these for my baby shower and Oriental Trading still has the cones white with black polka dots.

stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children, wife to an incredible husband, and daughter of a loving God. I freely admit that I am not always the most creative or original person when it comes to crafting, decorating, organizing, cooking, etc...but I love being inspired by great ideas and putting my own spin on them! Look around, stay a while, and I hope through my *unoriginality* I can provide some inspiration to you, too!
